Ponoka Stampede & Exhibition Western Art Show

Once again it's that time of year again. The Ponoka Stampede.  The Art Show is once again taking place at the Ponoka Curling Rink North of the grounds, and of course, I'm going. I wouldn't miss the Stampede for anything.

Sat July 1     10:30 am - 6:30 pm

Sun July 2    10:30 am - 6:30 pm

Mon July 3   10:30 am - 6:00 pm

  Shortly after the Stampede in Ponoka, I will be heading down to Calgary again this year, but since I had such a good tme last year, I thought I would go for the full 10 days this time. : )

Once again, it that time of year agian for the Lacome Art Show. This year there are going to be at least 50 Artists  showing and this year we will be at the Sports and Leisure Complex rather that the Memorial Center as it is currently under construction. Also this year in Lacombe, I have have been given the honor of being the Featured Artist! Once again, I hope to see everyone there

Farm and Ranch Show 2006

I am here at the Farm and Ranch Show in Edmonton at the Sportex Building. If anyone wants to pop in, by all means come and say Hi.

What's in Store for 2006!

    Well 2005 was a great year for me. I met many new people and had the privilage of going to some shows I had never been to before. Along with my Artzy Partners in Crime, we also put together a  great show of our own. Now the 2006 Season is ready to break down the door, and I have been very busy preparing myself. I have myself quite a list of shows that I will be attending and when I have the dates and times, so will you!

Canadian Finals Rodeo

  This year I will be showing in the Dodge City Western Trade and Gift Show at the CFR in Edmonton. The show will be taking place in the Sportex Building. Below is a list of the dates and times of the showing for those interested:

November 9th and 10th: 11am - 7pm

November 11th and 12 th: 10am - 7 pm

November 13th: 10am - 5 pm

Hope to see some of you there! It's really quite the show!

Comming Soon...

    In the near future, I am hoping to open up a new photo album, that will also serve as a type of catalouge. I have gotten quite a few suggestions for this, so I think I'm going to give it a try! In this album, there will be pictures of new  paintings that are for sale, as well as items such as my coffee tables, complete with prices and size dimensions.  I'm hoping that this will help the many that are having a hard time deciding what they're after when they see me at Art Shows, and aren't really able to follow me around from show to show  just to see what I have that's new. Having the dimesions already there for you, should also help you decide where you would like to display it. If anyone has any other ideas on how I can make this web blog more user friendly, please feel free to let me know. On a quick note, I will also be showing at the CFR in Edmonton once agian this year! My next post will have the dates and times of the Show.

Thank You!!

  Myself and my fellow Featured Artists would like to send out a big Thank You to everyone who joined us for our first independent Art Show and Sale this past week-end. The turn out, along with the support that we received was phenominal! We all had a great time getting to meet folks that came from all around the province, and to once again, see some familiar faces. We can't wait to do this all over again next year!! I would also like to extend a BIG Thank You to all of the volunteers who helped us out a great deal ( I don't know as we could have done this well without them) and also to Colleen McNaught, who allowed us to set up a table at the Farmer's Market on Saturday. I would also like to let everyone know, that this site IS still under construction, and I am hoping to set up some sort of page for my fellow artists who helped make this happen for us. I will be sure to keep everyone posted on all upomming events as well as any exciting news in the world of  The Medicine Hills Art Gang :) Please feel free to leave any comments you may have. Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYBODY!!!

Medicine Hills Arts Festival

During the week of August 4, myself and many other artists in the area are having our very own Art Show and Sale. It will be held in Bentley at the Bentley Community Hall from Thursday to Saturday.  Our featured artists include the work of Pat Matheson, Wayne Spink, Adamson & Co, myself and many other well-known, talented artists from the Central Alberta area. Calgary Stampede

This is my first year entering the Art Show and Sale at the Calgary Stampede. So far, I have done very well, and have won "Best of Show" for the Artisans category. The people here are just fantastic ! Unfortunately, I am only here for 5 days.
